Kellon McGuire is an Associate Attorney at Tobener Ravenscroft, LLP.
Born and educated in San Francisco, Mr. McGuire graduated from University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, before graduating at the top of his class in 2022 with a Juris Doctor from University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). Mr.McGuire focused his studies on specializing in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration, earning a concentration in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
As a Bay Area native, Mr. McGuire is particularly attuned to the cost-of-living crisis that Californians endure and treats his role as a bulwark against crisis-compounding injustices from landlords as a vital and sacred privilege.
During law school, Mr. McGuire received recognition across the United States for competing in numerous Trial Team tournaments. For his outstanding writing skills and oral advocacy in Moot Court, Mr. McGuire was bestowed multiple awards, including the Best Oral Argument and Best Brief distinctions. After accumulating over one hundred hours of pro-bono work during law school, Mr. McGuire received the UC College of the Law Pro-Bono Award for his dedication to helping low-income workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a litigator unafraid of challenging laws in the interest of justice, Mr. McGuire authored and curated myriad scholarship pieces on cutting-edge constitutional issues for his university’s Constitutional Law Journal.
Prior to law school, Mr. McGuire became enamored with landlord-tenant law while volunteering at a ramshackle legal aid office in the Bayview/Hunters Point district of San Francisco. The feeling he experienced after preserving housing for hundreds of low-income families after an attempted mass-scale condo conversion carried him through law school and to the offices of Tobener Ravenscroft where he continues to advocate for tenants up and down the California coast.
In his spare time, Mr. McGuire enjoys live performances of music, comedy, karaoke, and spoken word, going on random adventures, binging TV shows or movies on over-priced streaming platforms, and spending time with his beloved fiancé.
