Melanie O’Brien is a senior associate at Tobener Ravenscroft. In 2008, she earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology, with a minor in Spanish, from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. Ms. O’Brien attended Golden Gate University School of Law, where she was a participant in the competitive Honors Lawyering Program and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Criminal Procedure.
Ms. O’Brien focuses her practice on habitability, illegal unit, constructive eviction, and wrongful eviction cases. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. O’Brien honed her litigation skills and gained trial experience at a local boutique law firm. Throughout her seven-year legal career, Ms. O’Brien has counseled hundreds of tenants regarding housing rights and rent control ordinances. She is dedicated to tenant advocacy and volunteers weekly at the Housing Rights Committee of San Francisco.
